Late April 2010
At long last, the series which Rachel starred in when she was a child, Children of Fire Mountain, has been released on DVD.
(Rachel writes – ‘Intriguingly, the launch came just DAYS after the eruption of the ‘fire mountain’ in Iceland. Now ain’t that just a teeny bit spooky?’ )
Hallo
This television series has just one mistake – is too short. I saw this adventure in the Czechoslovak television first time in 1984. Your Sarah Jane is my childhood’s love. 😉 The movie characters like Tom Gregory, Te Pourinui and Doomy Dwyer (he looks like my neighbor :)) these persons are my favorite roles too, but Sarah was/is the No. One ;-).
I love the volcanoes thanks to this drama. This was reason, why I visited the volcanic area near Mt. Tarawera two years ago during my holiday. When I found that the movie “Children of Fire Mountain” was released on DVD, I had to buy it immediately after my return to Europe.
Thanks to God, that time of darkness, when I couldn’t see this television serial, is away. Now after next seeing I can to say “This movie series is the best” and I recommend it to all other. This is just the way how I can to say thank You very much Rachel/Sarah Jane and I wish You Good Luck in your singer career.
Have a nice day.
Best regards
Georg Ritter
P.S.
I’m sorry, because me English is horrible. I hope, that it never mind.
I caught The Children of Fire Mountain when repeated on Channel 4 in 1989.. I loved the show so much, which as a child I found enthralling and really captured my imagination (especially with the Volcano). I also had a massive crush on Sarah Jane. Pretty and extremely prim and proper. I have sort high and low for a DVD release and only recently found out it HAD been published but not in the UK, I am seriously considering importing it but not sure where to go,. Anyway……you’ve grown into a beautiful a talented woman and I wish you well for the future. Best wishes, Paul Xxx
